Clearing Browser Cache and Cookies

If the browser you're using or a page you're viewing is displaying problems, try to clear the browser's cache. If that doesn't fix the problem, try to clear the browser's cookies.  As final troubleshooting step you can reset your browser to its default configuration.  Artist Display Network offers the troubleshooting steps on this page for your convenience but in no way take responsibility or liability for the results or effect from performing the any portion of the steps listed below.  If at any point you are uncomfortable or have a concern performing these steps please stop and consult your local computer professional or browser support documentation.  Artist Display Network is glad to assist where possible.  If you continue to have troubles you can contact us via the Contact form.

The instructions for clearing the cache and cookies might be different for each browser and version. If the browser or version you're using isn't listed here, please see the browser's help menu.

 

Internet Explorer 9.x / 8.x:

1.     In Internet Explorer, click Tools.

2.     Click Internet Options.

3.     In the General tab, select the Delete button from the Browsing History section.

4.     Select the checkbox next to Cookies, Temporary Internet files, and History.

5.     Clear the check next to Preserve Favorites website data.

6.     Click Delete.

7.     Once your cookies have been deleted, click Okay.

If this does not fix the issue you can try to reset your browser defaults.

1.     In Internet Explorer, click Tools.

2.     Click Internet Options.

3.     In the Advanced tab, select the Reset button.  Check the box next to Delete personal settings and click the Reset button.

 

Firefox 3.5.x for Windows:

1.     In Firefox, click the Tools menu.

  1. Select Clear Recent History.
  2. Under Time Range to Clear, select Everything.
  3. Select the Details checkbox.
  4. Select the Cache checkbox.
  5. Click Clear Now

To clear Cookies:

1.     Click the Tools menu.

2.     Select Clear Recent History.

3.     Under Time Range to Clear, select Everything.

4.     Select the Details checkbox.

5.     Select the Cookies checkbox.

6.     Click Clear Now.

 

Firefox 3.5.x for Mac OS X:

1.     Click the Firefox menu.

  1. Select Preferences.
  2. Select Advanced.
  3. Click the Network tab.
  4. In the Offline Storage section, click Clear Now.
  5. Click OK.

To clear Cookies:

1.     Click the Firefox menu.

2.     Click Preferences.

3.     Click Privacy.

4.     Click Remove Individual Cookies.

5.     In the Cookies dialog box, click Remove All Cookies.

6.     Close the Cookies dialog box.

7.     Close the Preferences window.

 

Apple Safari 3.x for Windows:

  1. In Safari, click the Edit menu.
  2. Select Empty Cache.
  3. Click Empty.

 

To clear Cookies:

1.     Click the Safari menu.

2.     Select Preferences.

3.     Click Security.

4.     Click Show Cookies.

5.     Click Remove All.

6.     Click Done to close the cookies list.

7.     Close the Preferences dialog box.

 

Apple Safari 3.x for Mac OS X:

  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Select Empty Cache.
  3. Click Empty.

To clear Cookies:

1.     Click the Edit menu.

2.     Click Preferences.

3.     Click Security.

4.     Click Show Cookies.

5.     Click Remove All.

6.     Click Done.

7.     Close the Preferences dialog box.

 

Opera 9.x for Windows:

  1. In Opera, click the Tools menu.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. Click History.
  5. In the "Disk cache" section, click Empty Now.
  6. Click OK to close the Preferences window.

To clear Cookies:

1.     In Opera, click the Tools menu.

2.     Click Delete Private Data.

3.     Click Detailed Options.

4.     Select Delete all Cookies.

5.     Uncheck the box for any Private Data options that you want to keep.

6.     Click Delete.

 

Opera 9.x for Mac OS X:

  1. Click the Opera menu.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Click History.
  5. In the "Disk cache" section, click Empty Now.
  6. Click OK to close the Preferences window.

To clear Cookies:

1.     Click the Opera menu.

2.     Click Delete Private Data.

3.     Click Detailed Options.

4.     Select Delete all Cookies.

5.     Uncheck the box for any Private Data options that you want to keep.

6.     Click Delete.

 

Google Chrome:

1.     Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.

  1. Select Tools.
  2. Select Clear browsing data.
  3. In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
  4. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything.
  5. Click Clear browsing data.
