Born in 1970 in Johannesburg South Africa, Heather Crowther is an artist intrigued with the concept of transformation and the hidden symbolism found within. Working with elements that are rarely noticed yet play fundamental roles in shaping our known world, her Rust Drawings depict a fascination with turning something decaying into an everlasting depiction of deeper subliminal messages. While her paintings are influenced by nature and the Sacred Geometry that underpins all life in our universe. With a degree in Psychology, she then studied B.A.Fine Arts, where she was selected to exhibit in the Johannesburg Bienalle 1997. She also received honourary mention at the Kempton Park Thembisa Art Competition. Since moving to London, she has been in numerous exhibitions throughout the UK, Denmark, and the Czech Republic (where she is currently living and working). Most recently she has been selected for the International Contemporary Arts 2011 publication (New York), and is working on a solo exhibition to be held in Prague (Czech Republic.
